RET is similar to EMDR but has a Spiritual component which is why I chose it.  RET uses the same movements that we have when we are in REM sleep.  Researchers found that when we sleep deep enough we get into a state called REM sleep.  This is a very useful aspect of being human because during REM sleep we actually naturally release stress and tension from the day.  RET also used concepts from NLP and EFT to make it a complete therapy.  I do Situation Specific RET which I find very effective.   RET also has a Skills for Life Program that is considered a spiritual counseling in and of itself and is very good at allowing a different perspective to be held.
