Why We Get Sick

Meta-Medicine which has been developed by Johannes Fisslinger and Richard Flook is based on Dr. Hamer’s findings which were discovered and published over 30 years ago.   Meta-Medicine and Dr. Hamer’s German New Medicine tell us that there is a biological purpose to a living organism’s struggle for survival which we have come to know as disease.  This survival program begins when the organism suffers a threat to its existence and life as it knows it to be.    Essentially, we get sick when there has been some type of threat to our survival/existence, usually a fear or loss of some type.   During this threat or trauma as we would call it, our bodies are working to get us through the crisis.  There are no symptoms when this is going on so that we can focus on tolerating and getting through the trauma.   The body undergoes processes of which we are unaware but it is all meant to get us out of trouble which is what the biological purpose is about.   Once we are out of danger and the trauma or conflict is over, the body goes into a repair phase.  This healing phase is where the symptoms show up and what we call disease.  If the healing phase includes extra cells being sent to close up an area that has been widened for a biological purpose such as allowing more fluid or air to get through, these extra cells are now labeled a cancerous tumor.

Every living creature according to Quantum Science has a Field in it and around it that provides the information the organism needs to survive.  Rupert Sheldrake has found that these Morphic Fields, as he calls them, are responsible for what we have been calling instinct.  So, these biological conflicts are running from the Field.  They are processes put in place for an organism to continue to exist as long as it is useful to the herd or the community and is strong enough to survive.

Evolution plays a big part in Meta-Medicine as Dr. Hamer has the brain mapped according to oldest and most recent parts and shows the relays to the related organs.  The biological conflict has much to do with the part of the brain involved and what conflicts an organism of that level of existence would be going through.  The Brain Stem, the oldest part of the brain, is related to the respiratory system, the digestive system, and the reproductive system.  This is because at that level the creature or being was interested in breathing, eating, and procreating.  In essence getting a morsel of air, food, and faster reproduction.  Here we have involvement of lungs, intestines, pancreas, stomach, adrenals, thyroid, ovaries and testes.

The Cortex, the newest part of the brain, is involved with territorial and separation conflicts.    The biological conflicts we encounter are really very similar to the conflicts of the animal world in the wild.   We can use what a wolf or deer in the wild goes through in a metaphorical sense but the content is the same.  All living creatures goes through these survival conflicts for a biological purpose.   The Alpha Wolf or Deer’s territorial dominance issues  are not too different from what is happening in the rest of the animal world which does include humans.  We are very affected by territorial issues; actually males are more externally territorial, while females are more affected by internal territory.  This is Nature – Natural!  And, we are part of nature even though we forget this sometimes as we have come to be so technologically oriented and have drifted very far from our natural and original surroundings.  However, our survival mechanisms are still intact.  We put a different slant on it now, and have added emotion and reasoning to the mix which can be a good thing.  But, we can’t forget who and what we are, creatures of the earth with a reasoning mind and an energy body which can be called Spirit or Psyche, the Greek for spirit.

Meta-Medicine learned from Dr. Hamer that each of us is a whole being, actually a Hologram, but that’s another story.  We are not just a series of parts that have very little to do with each other.   Every trauma or stressful event which is really a biological conflict or threat to our survival happens simultaneously at every level of our existence, body, mind, and psyche or spirit.  These cannot be separated as we are so determined to do in today’s world.  We can say that every cancer or serious disease or even a headache is caused by our emotions, which, by the way, is how we become aware that something is not right.  What the truth is, though, is that emotions and feelings are our bodies making us aware that something isn’t right and needs to be made right so that we can be at ease and not concerned about surviving.  Dis-ease as we see it in the Meta-Medicine community is a program the being runs in order to adapt and survive.  Dis-ease in this sense is lack of ease which is an emotional uneasiness which, if not resolved, leads to a physical symptom.

Dis-ease begins in our awareness as a feeling but is also imprinted simultaneously on the brain and the organ that is responsible for that aspect of survival.   If we don’t pay attention to the feeling or heed its warning we cannot resolve the conflict.   The physical manifestation becomes more apparent but its progression can be halted with the resolution of the conflict which promotes survival, the purpose of the survival program.  The sooner the conflict is resolved, the better the chances for survival are.  That’s why prevention is so important; the kind of prevention that is focused on becoming conscious and aware of what is not right in our world or where we have lack of ease, are in fear, and/or are threatened.

So, is every cancer or disease emotionally caused?   Do we get sick becasue of our emotions?  It seems so, but the emotion is just the warning; the cause is the threat to survival that automatically begins a survival program leading to resolution of the conflict.   Every survival program has a biological purpose that makes perfect sense.  A Biological Program is put in place so that the being can survive.

If the person is allowed to go through the survival program while keeping the body strong with the best proteins and foods available, makes the changes in attitude and environment that are needed to feel at ease and safe, seeks out medical assistance that can build his/her body up rather than tear it down, he/she can survive.  The degeneration stops when the conflict stops and the regeneration begins when the changes are put into place.  If everything doesn’t come together, yes, survival is at risk and death happens.  In summary, what we have learned to call disease is actually the body’s or being’s attempt to survive by healing or resolving the conflict or threat to its survival.   As Dr. Hamer says, Mother Nature never makes a mistake!

Some people see expressing emotions as being weak.  This has usually been attributed to men but many women aslo hide ther emotions because it is frowned upon to be so expressive.  Also, sometimes people don’t even acknowledge their own emotions to themselves.   They become so used to supressing and denying their emotions, that they don’t even realize they have them.  Many times we find ourselves in situations that make us feel not good about ourselves.  We feel like we want to get away and never get in a situation like that again.  Of course, that is not always possible; and when it is, it prevents growth and experience and that cannot be good.  What I want you to know today is that EMOTIONS are good and acknowledging them and expressing them is even better.  Emotions are signals to us that give us information as to what is good for us and what is not.  Feelings are emotions felt in the body.  They are there for a reason and need our attention.

What is most beneficial to us is to really feel our feelings because we cannot heal what we cannot feel.  Emotions are so important and must be given sufficient stage time.  To deny what we feel and push it aside and pretend that everything is OK can be dangerous.  However, once we have allowed ourselves sufficient time to feel our feelings and really get into them we must adapt and let go.   To dwell on our negative feelings is like pouring gasoline on a fire.   It may be helpful at some point to “act as if” but only when we have acknowledged and not denied our true feelings.   Feelings buried alive never die and actually come back to haunt us.   Emotions are “energy in motion” and are meant to be felt and moved through us, not denied and, consequently, remain stagnant.  These pent-up emotions demand to have their say, and if we don’t give it to them through verbal expression with both thought and dialogue, they will use the body to get our attention.  They will be expressed one way or another.  And, if you don’t hear them or ignore them, they’ll shout a little louder.

Trauma, stress, and the negative experiences that cause them are imprinted upon our sub-conscious which, actually, is a good thing.  Our being, body, mind, and spirit, is so cleverly crafted that it is equipped with a “danger sensory system”.  At the precise moment of a specific stressful event, a multisensory movie is created that includes what we saw, heard, felt, smelled, or sensed when the original event occurred.  This movie is triggered to replay whenever a subsequent event contains any element of the original.  This is to warn us to stay away from something or someone or to run away, or go head on with it.  We know this as the “fight, flight, or freeze” reaction.

Back in the caveman days this really came in handy.  When a large predatory, flesh-eating mammal approached, this reaction would come into play and our ancestors knew to either run or fight.  Very rarely, I’m sure, did they “freeze” other than through fear.  In our modern day world, we cannot or do not always fight or take flight.  Sometimes, we just have to grin and bear it or “freeze” because we either don’t know what to do or to do anyting else would be inappropriate in a civilized world.  We now know that this is the source of many of our emotional and physical problems.  So, what started out as a built-in, life-saving mechanism is becoming counter productive.  But, maybe it doesn’t have to be that way.

As children, we came across many frightening situations and the fight or flight response worked.  It was OK and served us well in many instances.  For example, if we had to give a classroom presentation and, naturally, were a little apprehensive, and we sensed, felt, or heard, a negative reaction from the class or teacher, the imprint of the movie was created.  In that type of situation one cannot run and cannot fight but will usually freeze.  You can come up with many similar examples in your life where these sub-conscious movies were created.  The problem is that we continue to play the same movies as an adult.  You can see how this replaying of an original movie would prevent someone as an adult from advancing career-wise where many times presentations to groups must be made.  This imprint remains until it is released energetically by making a new movie, which some never get to do because of the fear, or using Energy Psychology which removes the imprint at a cellular level without the fear aspect.

The emotions triggered by a present-day situation that we find frightening or unpleasant and may be making us dysfunctional in some way are warnings from the past, the original movie.  This movie program worked at some point to protect us, but as adults, the same unconsious reaction hinders us.  If you find yourself avoiding certain functions, tasks, people, events, situations, procrastinating, having relationship problems, etc.  you are proably running an old movie that was made during a stressful event.  With Energy Psychology we can find the old movie and replace it with a new one that works for you as an adult.  Energy Psychology goes beyond talk therapy; it goes to the cellular level to release the movies that aren’t working for you anymore which will allow you to function without fear in order to live life fully.  This does not mean that you have no sense of danger, but you have an adult sense of danger and act accordingly.  If you are still reacting the way you did as a child, Energy Psychology can help you.  Call me at 908-278-2729 if you are ready to release your old, dysfunctional movies.

Prevention

In some parts of the world doctors get paid for preventing disease and keeping their patients healthy.  Wouldn’t that be a great thing to have here in the USA!  Unfortunately, our society has become obssessed with taking a pill for whatever ails ya.   They’re even creating diseases so that they can sell medicines to take the symptoms away.  That’s what most doctors are trained to do, take symptoms away.  Wouldn’t it be nice if we could get to the root cause of a disease and really heal that so that the symptoms would go away?  And, once that is done really work at preventing it from happening again by having a better diet, changing life-depleting life styles, improving health overall, and the like.

The American Medical Association has really done a terrific job in handling most emergency situations.  I would put myself in their hands if I needed emergency treatment.  They’ve got that down pat!  The AMA has done a wonderful job in many areas, but it’s the chronic disease area that is lacking.  We need to get help from people who are willing to see us as more than our bodies.  We need the whole being to be taken into account so that healing is happening on all levels.  Removing symtpoms works for a while and can make us feel better, but getting to the root cause of the problem and learning why we have the symptoms is the only way to go in order to heal.

German New Medicine and its offshoot, Meta-Medicine, are probably one of the best ways that we can not only heal, but also prevent disease.  What would that type of prevention look like?   Well, it could have many aspects among which would be meditation and introspection for starters.  If we could learn to examine our lives closely to understand and accept what is going on, how it is affecting us and how we feel and think about it, we would be much closer to warding off disease.  GNM and MM see the patient/client as a being consisting of body, mind, spirit, and emotions and work with all of those areas to bring about healing on the deepest cellular level possible.   MM goes further than GNM, which relies totally on the body to heal itself after resolving a trauma or conflict.  MM uses different therapeutic techniques such as EFT, NLP, and other energy processes to promote and assist the entire being in the healing of body, mind, and spirit.  Hence, it is a real Holistic Healing model.  MM practitioners, or Integrative Health Coaches, work with clients to help them make necessary changes in their diet, attitude, environment, and social circumstances, as well as helping the client not only find the conflict that is causing dis-ease but also resolving it in real-life terms as well as on the cellular level.

When we are aware of what we find unsettling or disturbing we are not in denial.  Awareness must come before any other step.  Living consciously promotes awareness.  Once we are aware we then accept what is happening but that doesn’t mean we do nothing about it.  Of course, as the Serenity Prayer says, we do need to accept the things we cannot change, but we also have to have the courage to change the things we can.   When we accept we then need to move to action whether that means surrendering it to a Higher Power, ending a relationship, or changing jobs, action needs to be taken and goes along with acceptance.  Only then can we remove ourselves from the powerless victim stance.  We are then living from the Higher Self or Unlimited Self which is the authentic self, the real self, the powerful self.
